Tech entrepreneur and WirfonCloud Academy founder, Banjika Ngo (Mfòómé Bá’tí Europe) as launched a new book aimed at equipping the next generation of cloud engineers with critical foundational skills.
The book, titled “Linux Fundamentals for Cloud Learners,” released July 15, offers a practical, beginner-friendly guide that bridges the gap between basic computing and advanced cloud infrastructure.
While launching the book, the Publisher stated that the publication arrives at a critical juncture for the tech industry, where specialized infrastructure and artificial intelligence rely heavily on core operating systems.
According to industry data, 90 percent of cloud server instances run on Linux, making it the quiet backbone of modern virtual machines, containers and automation scripts.
Ngo believes a weak foundation often hinders aspiring cloud and AI engineers. Many beginners rush into cloud dashboards and certifications without understanding underlying systems—a mistake he likens to opening a shop without learning to count change. “The missing foundation is the problem,” he says.
His new book guides absolute beginners from “what is a computer?” to deploying a live AWS server. It aligns with the Linux Professional Institute’s Linux Essentials certification and draws on Ngo’s 15+ years of IT experience, including a decade as a certified Red Hat engineer.
He recalls his 2016 Red Hat Certified System Administrator exam—a grueling, performance-based test on a live system. “You learn Linux by doing it,” he emphasizes.
For six years, Ngo has taught via Zoom and study groups, using analogies like market stalls to demystify code. The book scales this impact beyond live sessions. “A book reaches the person stuck at 11 p.m., trying to understand why their command failed,” he notes.
This is the first in his “Foundation First” series, with future volumes on networking and Python. The physical book is on amazon.de, the e-book on amazon.com, and both via academy.wirfoncloud.com, which offers free digital copies to students enrolling in the hands-on course.
