The Kinkar family, hailing from Bui Division and spread across the globe, has united in a call to reignite and strengthen family bonds. This appeal was made during the 9th Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on July 26 in Yaoundé, under the theme “Strengthening Family Unity and Development.” The event gathered representatives from all seven branches of the Kinkar family, both nationally and internationally.

In his welcoming remarks, Roland Ngong Laika, President of the Yaoundé branch, called the 2025 AGM a “pace-setting” event in the family’s history. He emphasized that the gathering was not just a reunion but a chance to “touch souls and foster community development.” According to Laika, strengthening family bonds is essential for the community’s overall progress.

His sentiment was echoed by National President Godfrey Njola, who praised the Yaoundé branch for bringing family members together during a time when unity is paramount. “It is essential that before we conclude this meeting, we take tangible steps to ensure the continuity of our development efforts,” Njola stated.
A major focus of the meeting was the launch of a fundraising campaign to support the ongoing renovation of the Kinkar family compound and its associated sub-compounds. These sub-compounds include Tsendzev, Kuikov, Mbinkar, Ngomrin MbohNseni, Tahjaih, and Ntamiir.

The AGM also served as a forum for sons and daughters to review annual activities, discuss challenges, and share perspectives from different branches. Among the key outcomes, a building and wedding committee was created, and it was announced that the next AGM will be held in Buea.
The 2026 AGM began with a sport walk in the city of Yaounde. They also made a stop at the Palace to see the paramount Fon of Nso. The resolutions and initiatives from this meeting are expected to lay a strong foundation for future projects, reinforcing the family’s commitment to shared goals and a united front.
