Cameroon arrive in Brazzaville riding confidence after a commanding 3–1 victory over Comoros in Garoua. That opening win lifted the Indomitable Lions to the top of Group G on goal difference, level on three points with Namibia. Congo, meanwhile, find themselves under immediate pressure following a 1–0 defeat to Namibia in Gaborone, where an early second-half strike from Bethuel Muzeu proved decisive.
For Congo, Tuesday’s clash is a crucial opportunity to turn early disappointment into momentum before a slow start becomes a prolonged struggle. Although they created several promising moments against Namibia, wasteful finishing ultimately cost them—and that is a flaw they can’t afford against a lethal Cameroon side.
