Cameroonian Striker, Souaibou Marou has clinched it first trophy with his South African Club, Orlando Pirates.

Staged at the Mbombela Stadium, goals from Patrick Maswanganyi and Relebohile Mofokeng were enough to see the Buccaneers retain the Nedbank Cup.
The milestone win comes after the club secured the MTN8 cup earlier this season. This victory marks Orlando Pirates’ 10th time claiming the title.
Themba Zwane broke the deadlock for Sundowns in the 54th minute, tapping into an empty net after a perfect setup by Lucas Ribeiro.

However, Patrick Maswanganyi equalized for Pirates from the penalty spot with 11th minutes later.
Substitute Relebohile Mofokeng emerged as the hero for the Buccaneers, scoring the winning goal in the 94th minute at the stoppage time.
Speaking shortly after the match, Mamelodi Sundowns coach Rhulani Mokwena expressed his disappointment: “I still don’t know what happened, I honestly don’t know what happened here,” Mokwena said on SuperSport TV.

“Football can be very cruel, can it!? We miss a penalty, they get a penalty, they score, they equalize, but we dominate the game and then there is this free-kick that I don’t even think should be going that way.”
“But okay, it’s what cup finals are all about, congratulations to Pirates. We take the lesson and we move on,’ he added.”
Souaibou Marou joined Orlando Pirates FC in 2023 after scoring an impressive 39 goals in two seasons for Cameroonian team Coton Sport. He was also part of Cameroon’s 2022 World Cup squad in Qatar.
