The second day of the Rugby 15 Dynamic Tournament season that took place on March 15 in Yaoundé, Ebolowa, and Douala, have recorded resounding success, with clubs delivering electrifying performances across various pitches. Organized by the renowned Essono Rugby Group, the event showcased high-quality rugby and fierce competition.

At the College Stoll of Akono playground, AS Massoda Rugby faced off against Bagangte Rugby Club in a highly anticipated match. Joseph Nde, representing the Technical Director, expressed his satisfaction with the day’s events.
“We are thrilled with the quality of play witnessed this afternoon. The players demonstrated exceptional skill, executing scintillating technical moves and showcasing excellent ball deployment on the pitch. Our gratitude goes to the coaches, who have worked tirelessly to ensure the players perform at this high level,” Joseph Nde said.
Despite a spirited effort, AS Massoda fell short against the experienced Bagangte Rugby Club, which leveraged its attacking prowess to secure a 29-12 victory. AS Massoda’s coach, Luc Desire Awana Nkono, attributed the loss to youthful errors rather than a lack of preparation.
“In every game, there must be a winner and a loser,”he said.“We will continue to work hard and improve as we prepare for the upcoming matches, which promise to be even more challenging,” Awana Nkono said.

In Douala, the Military Engineering Stadium hosted a series of intense matches. In the women’s category, Wouri RC dominated the Eagles of Yaoundé with a commanding 24-05 victory. Meanwhile, in the men’s category, Titan Dla struggled to make an impact, falling to Abeilles Etoudi by 33-10.
The South region also witnessed thrilling action as rugby enthusiasts were treated to a sensational clash between Gorille d’Ebolowa and RC Lions. Capitalizing on their opponents’ mistakes, RC Lions emerged victorious with a 25-16 scoreline.
Looking ahead, the third round of matches, scheduled to take place in two weeks, promises to be even more competitive and exciting. Teams are already gearing up for the challenges ahead.
For Ngoa Mety Aloys, captain of RC Lions, the team’s success is a result of individual brilliance and collective effort. “We are overwhelmed by today’s performance,”he said.“We’ve been preparing intensely for this moment, and it paid off. With the guidance of our coach, we are confident of achieving even greater success in the upcoming games.”
The Rugby 15 Dynamic Tournament continues to captivate fans across Cameroon, with each matchday delivering unforgettable moments and showcasing the growing talent in the sport.
