A Muslim faithful, Sheik Dan Zubair, has called on all Muslims to celebrate the feast of Ramadan according to what the Holy Book says. Sheik Dan Zubair made the statement on April 9 in Yaounde as Muslims get ready to celebrate the feast of Ramadan. The feast comes at the end of the 30 days of fasting.
“I am inviting all Muslim faithful to celebrate the feast of Ramadan in accordance with what the Holy Book says. They should eat and drink what is authorized,” Sheik said.
He added that in accordance with the Holy Book during celebrations, they should also share with others.
Sheik further said that during this fasting period, faithful were called upon to pray for Cameroonians living in the Northwest, Southwest Regions, and in the Far North Region, as well as all around the world for peace to return.
He said, there have been a lot of worship and sharing, among other things, during this fasting. The fact that nothing bad was registered, indicate that many people have started understanding what to do during fasting.
Ramadan is the most sacred month of the year for the Muslim community. They perform various religious and spiritual activities during the holy month of Ramadan.
According to the Muslim Calendar, this is the ninth month. It is believed that the Holy Book of the Quran was sent down from heaven. Ramadan has already started on March 12, and it expected to end on April 9.
