On April 2, Samuel Eto’o Fils, the President of the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT), signed a three-year strategic partnership agreement with the Customs Department, represented by its Director General, Edwin Nuvaga Fongod.

The agreement aims to protect FECAFOOT’s exclusive brand products, strengthen customs surveillance, and ensure efficient customs clearance procedures. According to the terms of the partnership, FECAFOOT is committed to complying with customs regulations, reporting suspicious activities, and contributing to intelligence gathering on counterfeiting networks.
The Eto’o administration will also organize awareness campaigns to promote the authenticity of its products. In return, the Customs Department has pledged to enhance controls at borders, track and report fraudulent imports, and assist FECAFOOT with its customs clearance processes.

A joint commission will be established, comprising representatives from both entities, to monitor and evaluate the partnership’s effectiveness.
This marks another collaboration between the Cameroon Football Federation and a state-run institution. Notably, FECAFOOT previously signed a partnership agreement with Cameroon Telecommunications (CAMTEL) in 2024 as part of the “Blue Corpo” football competition framework.
