DADA FC of Noni, on Sunday, December 22, delivered a resounding 6-0 victory over Kilum Bees of Oku in the semifinal clash at the Mateco Stadium, University of Yaoundé I, propelling them into the final of the inaugural Bui Unity Super Cup Football Competition.
The match, played before a passionate crowd, saw DADA FC assert their dominance from the outset. In the 8th minute, a defensive lapse by Kilum Bees allowed DADA FC to capitalize with a swift opening goal. This early success fueled their momentum, and they quickly doubled their lead with a second expertly executed strike.
The first half proved to be a dominant display for DADA FC, with three more goals finding the back of the net before the halftime whistle.
Kilum Bees, visibly shaken, attempted to regroup during the interval and introduced fresh legs into the fray in an effort to mount a comeback. However, DADA FC remained resolute, weathering any pressure and adding a sixth goal to their tally, effectively extinguishing any hopes of a Kilum Bees resurgence.
This emphatic victory sets the stage for a highly anticipated final showdown between DADA FC and Nso Boys FC. These two teams have previously locked horns in the competition, with Nso Boys emerging victorious with a 3-0 scoreline. This past encounter promises to add an extra layer of intrigue to the upcoming final.
The Bui Unity Super Cup Football Competition, a landmark event aimed at fostering unity and camaraderie among the three distinct communities within the Bui Division – Nso, Oku, and Noni – will conclude with this final match.
