In the context of the Anglophone crisis, Pastors and Church Leaders now have before them Christians and community members who have been traumatized and who experiencing various forms of conflict or another.
Some of these people have no healthy relationship with their Creator and lack peace with themselves. Some have peace with God but are not at peace with their neighbors.
If trauma is not adequately processed (healed), unhealed trauma can linger and this can lead to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and re-traumatization.
The initiative aims to empower the church to assist in trauma recovery and conflict transformation within and within the church by training 1,000 Pastors and church leaders to equip them to counsel and support up to 5,000 individuals within the community.
